The Climana neighborhood association was awarded a Neighborhood Enrichment Grant by the city of New Orleans. This grant allowed the association to develop and implement the Green Revival Project (GRP). The GRP, a community-driven intiative focused on enhancing the environmental resilience, visual appeal, and long-term sustainability of the neighborhood. Through the grant we accomplished the following:
(1) Planted native trees
(2) Planted native pollinator gardens
(3) Cleaned local catch basins
Neighbors helped one another plant native trees and plants in their home gardens. All plant life came from local nurseries and growers.
